Academics

What does college readiness mean at Austin Achieve?

We offer a rigorous college preparatory curriculum to ensure academic success through wide-ranging intervention programs and support services including four years of daily college prep courses at the high school level. Additionally, our curriculum aligns with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) state standards and all scholars take the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) generated by the Texas Education Agency.

Why is the Austin Achieve school year and day longer than other Independent School Districts?

Our longer school day and school year allow our scholars to receive an additional 259 hours of instruction annually.

Do you have technology in your classrooms?

Yes. All scholars use Google Chromebooks in their classes to supplement and strengthen their grasp of the instructional material.

Application Process

Who can attend Austin Achieve?

We are open to all scholars from the majority of the Austin Metropolitan school district boundary zones. Austin Achieve does not base admission on academic, athletic or artistic ability.

When can I enroll my child?

Austin Achieve accepts applications year-round. When the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spots, a school lottery is held in March and names are drawn at random.Those not selected move to a waiting list. You can apply online or pick up an application at our Front Office located at 5908 Manor Road, Austin, TX 78723.

Are siblings of current schoalrs automatically admitted?

Returning scholars and their siblings are given priority admission to our school each year.

How do I sign my scholar up for bus transportation?

New scholars will have the option to sign up for bus transportation during the registration process. For returning scholars, you will need to fill out a Bus Change Request form and return it to the Front Office. If you have questions about the form or accessibility, please call our offices at 512.522.4190.

Does Austin Achieve charge tuition?

No. Austin Achieve does not charge tuition. To provide high-quality educational opportunities for our scholars, we rely on state funding and generous donations from supporters.

Is transportation provided for scholars?

Transportation is available free of charges to all families. To the best of our ability, we work with individual families to identify bus stops that will work for as many scholars as possible. If you have questions about bus routes or accessibility, please call our offices at 512.522.4190.

What are the cost of uniforms?

Uniforms are available for purchase at your child’s campus front office. Polos range from $17 -18.99 and bottoms range from $11-20. High school scholars may purchase khaki bottoms (pants or shorts) at the location of your choosing.
